If you have been letting your fresh blooms dry naturally, you know that it takes a long time for them to dry completely. It takes about a few weeks to a month to properly dry the flowers.

But you know what? There’s a shortcut.

You can skip those days and just dry them in 30 minutes with an air fryer. They’re not just for cooking food, you know.

If you guys wanna try it out, here are the steps to air-fry your blooms:

  1. Cut the stems accordingly so they fit in your air fryer.
  2. Space your flowers evenly in the cooking basket.
  3. Air fry them at 80 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.
  4. It’s ready and you can arrange them however you like.

Some tips

Just bear in mind that not all flowers are going to turn out great. Although it is quick, it’s not always a foolproof method. You gotta experiment a few times first.

Well…some work and some don’t?

After some observation with this method, AsiaOne compiled some tips so that your flowers won’t burn to a crisp:

  1. Roses work best with this method. Other flowers may not work so well, so trial and error is required with a few stalks first.
  2. Avoid setting the temperature too high or putting the flowers in for too long.
  3. For first-timers, try frying the flowers at 10-minute intervals as some flowers can’t handle the 30-minute duration.
One netizen mistakenly set the air fryer temperature to 160 degrees Celcius and got these very very crisp flowers.

So even if you have dried flowers, what do you do with them?

  • Wedding Bouquet – Create your own bridal bouquet for that minimal but aesthetic look by arranging big and small flowers accordingly.
  • Flower crowns – Make a beautiful headpiece by arranging your flowers in small bouquets and taping them onto a round rustic wire.
  • Scrapbooks – If you’re into journalling, pressing the flowers and putting them into scrapbooks is a very fun and relaxing hobby.
  • Gifting – Add a stem or two of the flowers on the wrapping paper to accent your gifts.
  • Decorative Centerpiece – You can add these flowers in a small vase and decorate them on tables during events or while you’re having guests.
  • Aesthetic Frames – Put your dried flowers in clear frames and decorate your walls or tables with them.
