Steubenville – New classes and returning favorites will shape the schedule of free after-school classes and Saturday classes offered at the Sycamore Youth Center, located at 301 N. Four St., Steubenville.

The schedule for the second semester of winter/spring semester begins on Monday and runs through May 13th.

New classes include an Irish dance class led by the Franciscan University Irish Dance Club; The civics class led by Brendan Slovacek, and the cosmetology class (complete with mannequin heads just bought by the center) led by Renee Thompson,” Explained Bobbijon Bowman, Sycamore Program Director. “We have as many as 51 classes and I have 85 volunteers this semester working at Sycamore,” He said, indicating that the drama program will be presented “The Magician’s Nephew” By CS Lewis this semester as well.

All elementary and middle school students at Steubenville City School will be able to take the SVRTA bus from school to Sycamore Youth Center but must be picked up after their classes.
