Home remodeling and decor are booming, and several shows and markets are planned for the next few months.
Here’s a list that includes the Junk Hippy Market, the big NRG home show and suburban events organized by Texwood Shows. (Full disclosure: I’ll be one of many speakers at both Texwood shows.)

Vintage and handmade goods will be on display at Junk Hippy Market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. January 22 inside Campbell Hall at the Pasadena Convention Center, 7601 Red Bluff, Pasadena. Admission is $5 at the door; Children 13 years old or younger stay for free. Future shows are scheduled to take place on February 26 and July 16 in Rosenberg as well as on July 30 in Pasadena. Houston Home + Garden View
TV personalities Chet Garner from PBS’ “The Day Tripper” and former host of Ty Pennington’s “Trading Spaces” and other house-changing shows will be among the speakers at the Houston Home + Garden Show, noon-8pm Feb 4, 10am-8am PM February 5 and 11 AM-6 PM February 6 at the NRG Center.
